Cinco de Mayo! No better way to celebrate it than by racing, right? This was my second attempt at Pro class at NER. This attempt however, wasn't a very encouraging one for me. At least on the upside, the camera worked for the whole event finally, so hopefully no more of that!
I unfortunately didn't place as high as I would've liked to, coming in
11th out of 13 in Pro class. For whatever reason, I kept getting hung up on the section that took place after the first sweeper. I either went in too hot sometimes, or not hot enough, or a bad line... It was nerve racking to say the least. My fastest times were
'56.006 +1 cone (
that I definitely don't recall hitting...) and a
'56.645 clean. John placed
8th in Pro class, as on his last run he brought home a blazing fast
'55.869 clean! In terms of PAX, John came
9th, and I came in
15th out of
137 drivers. Decent, but I want to keep working on stepping my pace up!
The rest of the results are located
here on NER's site. The
YouTube video playlist is located here with all of the day's videos. Below are the fastest runs of the day, with John's 6th run first, followed by my fastest but dirtiest run after that. Stay tuned, as I'll be driving something a little bit different at the next event, with a new club as well!
